Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team Unveils High-Performance Road Bikes

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has expanded its high-performance offerings beyond the racetrack with the introduction of two meticulously engineered road bikes: the V13 SRAM RED AXS Road Bike and the V15 Road Edition. These bicycles embody the team's commitment to precision engineering and aerodynamic excellence, providing cycling enthusiasts with a ride that mirrors the performance and aesthetics of their Formula One counterparts.​

V13 SRAM RED AXS Road Bike

The V13 model is a limited edition masterpiece, with only 500 units available, each individually numbered and hand-painted. Its design features an F1-inspired aerofoil over the brake caliper, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. The frame is constructed from high-modulus carbon fiber, ensuring a lightweight yet robust structure. Riders will appreciate the hand-crafted Alcantara saddle, weighing just 105 grams, and the Pirelli P Zero tires that offer exceptional grip and performance. The bike's total weight stands at a mere 7.35 kg (16.2 lbs), making it a formidable contender on any road.

V15 Road Edition

Unveiled annually alongside the team's F1 car, the V15 Road Edition pays homage to the eight-time F1 Constructors' World Champions. This high-performance carbon road bike is designed with a singular focus on speed. It boasts an aerodynamic optimized frame, a 55mm deep-profile carbon wheelset with DT Swiss 240 hubs, and an integrated carbon cockpit that conceals all cabling to reduce drag. The SRAM RED eTap AXS drivetrain offers fast and reliable electronic shifting, while the Pirelli P Zero Race tires ensure top-tier performance. Weighing just over 7 kg, the V15 is a testament to the seamless integration of F1 technology into cycling.

Trade-In Program

In an effort to make these high-performance bikes more accessible, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has introduced a trade-in program. Customers can receive a $1,300 credit toward a new Mercedes-AMG Petronas e-bike by trading in a qualified e-bike from brands such as Aventon, Rad Power, Pedego, Trek, Giant, Specialized, and others. This initiative not only promotes sustainability through the refurbishment and reuse of bikes but also allows cycling enthusiasts to experience the pinnacle of cycling performance inspired by Formula One innovation. ​
