Editorial Guidelines
Last updated: October 14, 2026
SciHub101 is an independent science and technology publication. These guidelines govern our standards for researching, writing, reviewing, and correcting articles. We publish them openly because we believe transparency is the foundation of trust.
1. Our Editorial Mission
SciHub101 exists to make science and technology understandable and relevant to a general audience. We cover artificial intelligence, space exploration, biology, climate science, technology, finance, and more. Our goal is not to simplify — it is to clarify: to give readers the context, evidence, and nuance they need to form their own informed views.
We do not publish press releases, paid placements, or sponsored articles. Our editorial decisions are made independently of our advertising relationships. Advertisers have no influence over our coverage.
2. Standards for Accuracy
Our standard is that factual claims should be verifiable. Existing articles do not all meet the same level of source documentation, and a review of the archive is ongoing. These are editorial requirements, not a certification that every published article has completed a specialist or independent human review.
- Primary sources first. We cite peer-reviewed research, official government or agency publications (NASA, WHO, IPCC, etc.), and original data wherever possible. Secondary sources (news reports, summaries) are used only when primary sources are inaccessible or to provide context.
- Named sources for contested claims. If a claim is disputed or significant, we attribute it to a named, identifiable source rather than presenting it as settled fact.
- Statistics in context. We do not present statistics in isolation. Relative risks, sample sizes, confidence intervals, and funding sources are disclosed when relevant.
- No fabrication or misrepresentation. We do not quote sources out of context, alter the meaning of research, or present preliminary findings as established consensus.
3. Use of Artificial Intelligence
SciHub101 uses AI tools as part of its editorial workflow. We are committed to full transparency about how:
- Drafting assistance. Some articles are initially drafted using large language models (LLMs). AI output can contain mistakes. Source verification and editorial review are required standards; we do not claim that every existing article has a documented human fact-check.
- Review accountability. AI tools cannot certify accuracy. The Editorial Team byline identifies responsibility for the content, not a named specialist reviewer or a guarantee of completed human review.
- AI does not set editorial direction. Editorial direction remains the publisher’s responsibility. AI tools may assist with topic ideas, research summaries, and drafts; their suggestions require evaluation.
- Automated content ingestion. Some short-form content on this site (news summaries, data digests) may be generated from structured external data sources (APIs, RSS feeds) using automated pipelines. Automated material requires the same source and accuracy standards as other content; automated generation does not itself establish that an item has been reviewed.
4. Author Credentials and Expertise
Every article published on SciHub101 is produced by our editorial team, whose profile and full body of work are accessible via the author page linked from each article. In our editorial process we:
- Research each topic against primary literature and authoritative sources
- Cite peer-reviewed studies, official agencies, and named experts wherever claims are made
- Disclose any financial, professional, or personal interests that could affect objectivity
- Respond to reader corrections and engage in good faith with feedback
Drafts may be assisted by AI tools. The editorial team is accountable for published content, including errors in the existing archive. A named reviewer or review date should appear only when that review actually occurred and can be documented.
5. Corrections Policy
We correct errors promptly and transparently. When a factual error is identified:
- Minor corrections (spelling, grammar, formatting) are fixed silently without a formal notice.
- Factual corrections are fixed and noted at the bottom of the article with the date of correction and a brief description of what changed.
- Significant corrections that change the meaning or conclusion of an article are flagged prominently at the top of the article.
- Retractions. In rare cases where an article cannot be corrected and should not remain published, we will issue a retraction notice rather than silently removing the content.
To report an error, email us at bugra@mobtive.com with the subject line "Correction request" and a link to the article. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
6. Editorial Independence
SciHub101 may carry display advertising, including Google AdSense when approved. Advertising must not determine editorial decisions:
- Advertisers do not review, approve, or influence articles before publication.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, positive reviews, or product placement.
- Our editorial team operates independently from any sales or business development activities.
7. Complaints and Feedback
We welcome feedback from readers. If you believe an article violates these guidelines, contains misinformation, or fails to meet our stated standards, please contact us:
- Email: bugra@mobtive.com — subject line: "Editorial complaint"
- Contact form: scihub101.com/contact
We will acknowledge your message within 5 business days and aim to resolve substantive complaints within 14 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to a relevant press complaints body or regulatory authority in your jurisdiction.
8. Linking and Source Policy
We link to original sources wherever possible, including academic papers, official reports, and primary data. External links open in a new tab with rel="noopener noreferrer".
9. Updates to These Guidelines
These guidelines may be updated as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes are recorded by updating the date on this page.
